Meet Shanda

Hi, I’m Shanda Swinehart. I was born and raised in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. I attended Hutchinson Community College prior to beginning my career as an Estate and Business Planning Legal Assistant. Since transitioning to the insurance industry, I served my community as an agent before joining the leadership team at a previous company. Prior to my role at Farm Bureau, I was a financial advisor. My husband, Derrick, and I are high school sweethearts and got married in 1991. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and her family, relaxing by the lake and watching KU basketball.

As a District Manager, my goal is to be a flexible leader by supporting my team, so they have the necessary tools to be successful in their roles.

I’m looking for agents who have a passion for their community, understand that hard work and grit are the keys to making an impact and entrepreneurs who want to own their own business.
