Ryan has been with us at Farm Bureau for a little less than a year, but has showcased his commitment to helping client/members as well as pushing through to his career goals and aspirations. What made you choose to become a Farm Bureau agent?
I became a Farm Bureau agent because I’ve been a member for several years and always loved the coverage and policy advantages. I wanted to be somewhere that offered many lines of insurance, and Farm Bureau was the perfect fit.
What was the last movie you saw?
“Into the Woods” – we’re big Disney fans in our house.
Tell me about what you’re looking forward to most in 2015?
Career wise, I’m looking forward to pushing myself to my goal of Heritage Elite and focusing on life insurance sales. Personally, I can’t wait for our Hawaii trip as a family in September.
What’s your favorite part of the day as a Farm Bureau agent?
Whenever I can meet with prospective clients and show them the importance of having the correct coverage. I do love quiet morning coffees, too.
What do you enjoy most about your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my daughter. We recently had a daddy/daughter dance, and I loved how excited she was for it.
What do you think it takes to succeed as a Farm Bureau agent?
You have to be self-motivated and enjoy spending time with others. I like meeting new people and do that by putting on a lot of events and staying active. You also have to be a good time manager and keep your schedule full.
Do you have any pets?
No, but I’ve made a promise on a dog sometime soon.
What does a typical day look like for you as a Farm Bureau agent?
The thing I really love in this profession is that every day is different. Some mornings, I’m in the office at 7:30 a.m. doing paperwork and answering emails. Other mornings, I’m sleeping until 9 a.m. because I was up running quotes past midnight. Managing my schedule day-in-and-day-out is vital.
Where did you go on your last vacation?
We took a surprise trip to Disney World last November.
