Farm Bureau would like to introduce you to Lorenzo Miera, an agent based out of New Mexico. When Lorenzo isn’t helping out his clients, you’ll find him with his family and being all around active. Let’s take a moment to learn more about Lorenzo and why he loves being a Farm Bureau agent!
What’s it like to work for Farm Bureau Financial Services? What appealed to you?
Working at Farm Bureau has been a great experience for me, partly because everyone that I’ve dealt with has been more than happy to assist me, which has helped lead me to success.
What excites you about being a Farm Bureau agent?
It’s exciting to create relationships with my client/members and earn their trust. I want them to know that I’m helping protect them. Plus, there’s also the excitement of learning how to be a small business owner.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
When I take off my agent hat, I love spending time with my children and family. Activities that I’m involved in include soccer, basketball and baseball. I also really enjoy being outdoors, including riding ATVs. Needless to say, I am always on the go!
Do you have any new year’s resolutions? If so, how are they going?
My new year’s resolution is to make sure I’m doing everything possible to talk with my client/members and prospects about life insurance. It’s one of the most important products we can offer.
Spring is just around the corner. What are you looking forward to most after the winter months?
New Mexico weather is one of the best parts of living here. We don’t often get the blustery weather that you may find in the Midwest. I am especially looking forward to the days getting longer, so I can start enjoying more outdoor activities with my family.
Are you planning to go on a vacation this year? If so, to where and what are you looking forward?
My family will be attending this year’s Pacesetters trip to Disneyland. My daughter will be five years old, and my son will be turning two shortly after her. It will definitely be a vacation to remember.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
One of my proudest accomplishments is being a father and husband. I’ve accomplished many things, but nothing compares to how proud I am to be a father.
What was your dream job growing up?
My dream job growing up was to be an astronaut. Traveling to space has always interested me.
Who’s your personal hero?
My personal heroes would be both my father and grandfather. As I get older, I can’t help but constantly think of the life lessons both of them taught me. Now as I raise my own children, it all makes sense!
